Conall became Music Director of New Note Orchestra in January 2017. He has grown the orchestra from a grass roots charity into a credible arts organisation. He uses innovative workshop ideas to encourage the orchestra members to compose their own scores. He is currently Deputy Head of the School of Media at University Brighton.
Patrick helped launch the New Note Orchestra in 2015. He is an award winning composer whose works have been given live and broadcast performances in many countries around the world. His music has been recorded by Argo, CBC (Canada), Editions LGNM (Luxembourg) and New Music Brighton. In 2005 he established the Sussex branch of CoMA (Contemporary Music for All). He is Musical Director of Brighton & Hove Arts Orchestra, an open access community orchestra.
Bridget Taylor is a Trustee of New Note Projects. In her professional life she has developed and run large public/private sector partnerships with responsibility for delivering improved services. She has also been a volunteer in local Brighton and Hove charities. Bridget has experience of governance, people and financial management together with personal experience of the impact of addiction on people’s lives.
Marcus O’Dair- Marcus is a musician, writer and journalist and a current associate professor in music and innovation at Middlesex University. His books have received critical acclaim, Different Every Time was book of the week on Radio 4 and a book of the year in the Guardian, the Independent, the Times, the Sunday Times, the Evening Standard, Mojo and Uncut.
Suzie Edgily MBACP, BA Hons, PG Dip offers an accessible counselling service to all New Note Project participants. The service is underpinned by a desire to be inclusive and available to all members, and therefore offered on a donation only basis. Counselling can have a positive impact on sustaining and maintaining recovery.
