The New Note Strummers will also be joined by special guest ‘Franksy’. Andy Franks is a multi award winning tour manager for the Stone Roses, Rolling Stones, Madness and Coldplay to name just a few. He will be in conversation with journalist Jon Wilde to discuss music recovery from addiction and what it’s like to be on the road with some of the biggest bands in the world.
Among Franksy’s highlights were Robbie Williams’ Knebworth concerts, the biggest live shows in UK history. He currently runs the artist liaison operation at Hyde Park and has worked with an incredible range of bands including the Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi, Taylor Swift, Neil Young, The Libertines, Tom Jones, Black Sabbath, Paul Weller, Elvis Costello, Moorhead, Lionel Richie, The Who, Stevie Wonder, Massive Attack, Mumford & Sons, Carol King, Take That. Join Fransky and journalist Jon Wilde as they delve into the often chaotic and debauched life of a rock and roll band on the road and find out how Franksy managed to find sobriety while remaining part of a world full of temptations. The New Note Strummers are a 13 piece guitar group based in Brighton. Alongside their performance they will also be sharing unique stories about how the power of music has helped in their recoveries from addiction.
