New Note Orchestra seeks Keyboard Volunteer
Want to be part of an inclusive musical community?
With an exciting concert programme on the horizon, we’re looking for a volunteer to join our award-winning orchestra and play an active role in our vibrant recovery community.
We’re seeking a confident pianist or keyboard player
Our orchestra features an eclectic mix of instruments and musicians – some read music, others play by ear. The pianist/keyboard player often provides a vital anchor for the group, as our members have a range of musical abilities.
You’ll need to be willing to play an active role in the orchestra and commit to attending our weekly rehearsals, held every Tuesday.
What we’re looking for:
- You will be able to play the piano/keyboard to at least grade 5 or above.
- You want to be in a group/community with other musicians.
- Be available on Tuesday evenings – our rehearsals are 7-9pm.
- Be willing to perform on stage with the New Note Orchestra, who all identify as people with lived experience of addiction.
- We are a public facing organisation. We often have photos of our shows on social media and our website – sometimes we have interest from the press. You will need to be conformable standing alongside those who are in recovery.
- You don’t need to be in recovery from addiction but you do need to be respectful to those who are.
When: Tuesday 7 – 9pm
Where: St Lukes Church, BN1 5DD
