On July 4th the New Note Orchestra were live streamed from the Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts, for an evening of music and conversation exploring how small acts of kindness can make you happy and improve your well being. New Note Orchestra performed their album ‘Kind Rebellion’ which was followed by a panel discussion chaired by Prof Robin Banerjee, head of the Kindness Research Department at the University of Sussex.
The musicians within New Note Orchestra are all in recovery from addiction and all have fascinating stories to tell about how music has helped to heal them. The musicians are united in both their love of music and their desire to belong to a community of like-minded people they can rely on for support and friendship without judgment.
